Welcome to the Aged Care Financial Sustainability Forum
The Aged Care Financial Sustainability Forum focuses on equipping aged care providers with strategies to secure long-term financial health.
The event addressed key challenges: positioning to maximise funding opportunities post-Aged Care Taskforce recommendations, adapting business models to manage rising costs, and leveraging innovative technologies to maintain sustainable quality care delivery.
Last year, around 100 attendees engaged actively through networking sessions, interactive roundtables, and social events.
A highlight was the keynote from Thomas Walker, a member of the Aged Care Taskforce, who shared insights into navigating new funding reforms. The forum also featured thought leadership from aged care’s top CFOs and financial strategists, offering practical advice on financial management, revenue diversification, and strategic partnerships.
With strong commitments to continued dialogue, the forum is set to return on 3 September 2025 in Melbourne, promising further progress in securing the future of aged care.
Main Delegate Challenges
-
Skills & Training Gaps: Limited access to high-quality, standardised training impacts care quality and create inconsistencies across the sector.
-
Staffing Shortages & Retention: Persistent workforce shortages, high turnover rates, and difficulties in attracting new talent continue to strain care standards.
-
Funding Constraints: Limited funding and resources hinders investments into staff traning, service improvements, and innovation.
-
Technology & Innovation Barriers: Many providers struggle to adopt innovative solutions due to cost, training requirements, and infrastructure limitations.
